SWAAD SADAN
Swaad Sadan is a social entrepreneurship initiative created to empower families in marginalized communities. This tiffin and catering service, born from the mission of Ichchha, was operated by young entrepreneurs and their mothers. Through Swaad Sadan, these families gained a sustainable income by providing affordable, home-cooked meals to the local community. The initiative not only supported financial empowerment but also fostered community bonds by delivering “Maa ke haath ka khana” to those in need.

Key achievements of Swaad Sadan include:
-
Serving over 100 meals, creating a sense of connection and belonging within the community.
-
Empowering 15+ women and youth to take on leadership roles in managing and growing the business.
-
Developing partnerships with local businesses and organizations to scale the initiative’s impact.
Swaad Sadan was more than just a meal service – it became a platform for families to break through financial barriers and build a better future. The initiative provided participants with training in business management, customer service, and culinary arts, all while delivering a tangible, positive impact on the community.
Due to the pandemic, delivering meals became challenging, but the founding team is now gearing up for a relaunch and will be ready to resume operations soon.
