IKVANSHU

Daan Utsav is India's Festival of Giving. Daan means giving and Utsav means festival. Every year from October 2 to 8, people across the country give money, time, and skills to causes they care about and enjoy the joy of giving.

At Ikvanshu, this is the week we build a bridge. On one side are women from under-resourced communities, with ability and lived experience to solve for challenges their community faces. On the other side is the social sector doing some amazing work in the very same communities but has a hard time finding the right talent. The talent exists and the roles exist, but the way between them is hard to find.

Sapno Ki Udaan is that bridge. Over one year, a woman builds her voice, learns the skills the social sector is looking for, gets a grant to apply what she has learnt, and spends the last phase doing a 3 month paid internship. We help her build the skills and confidence to cross over and build her career in the social sector. This year, 11 women are crossing it so your gift helps them across the bridge to reach the social sector.
